Practical Life
Practical Life exercises form the foundation of a Montessori environment, offering a meaningful and balanced awareness, strong work habits, responsibility, concentration, independence, order, and a positive self-image which all achieved through spontaneous and purposeful engagement. Children learn to dress, tie shoes, wash hands, and safely use kitchen appliances. They make toast, squeeze juice, and cook eggs using various methods. Other important skills that’s being forgotten such as sewing simple button replacement will be taught for older children as well. These hands-on experiences develop strong work habits, responsibility, concentration, order, and a positive self-image, while fostering independence, healthy eating habits, and an introduction to the joys of cooking.Sensorial Training
Sensorial Training activities are designed to develop and refine the five senses, helping children develop the ability to distinguish, categorize, and compare. - Music and Movement: Music and movement are essential components of well-rounded education. - Parent-Child Literacy Collaboration: Every month, parent and child will be scheduled to present a skit based on the child’s favorite storybook to their classmates. The use of simple props or costumes is encouraged to elevate the performance and immerse the audience in the story. This activity fosters literacy skills, reading comprehension, and oral language development. Additionally, it nurtures the child’s creativity, imagination, confidence, public speaking abilities, teamwork and most importantly it strengthens the parent-child bond.
- Pet & Plant Parenting: Each week, as part of our curriculum, your child will be assigned the responsibility of bringing home either a plant or a pet.
